The Friends and Family Test (FFT) is a tool for patients to have the opportunity to provide both positive and negative feedback to the surgery.
258 patients completed the two question survey for January, the results are as follows:
Question asked was - How likely are you to recommend our GP practice to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?
Responses:
Extremely likely 123
Likely 86
Neither likely nor unlikely 24
Unlikely 9
Extremely unlikely 12
Don’t know 4
The second question asked the patient the reason they gave this response, here are some of the comments:
Positive responses:
Doctors, nurses and staff are very good
The surgery has a ‘local feel’
Kind and professional
Excellent service
Very friendly
Helpful GP’s
The surgery has always been very good with arranging emergency appointments for my son but the only thing I really dislike is that there is always a different doctor every time I come.
Easy to get an appointment/friendly staff
Negative responses:
Never see the same GP
Have to wait too long to see GP
Need more late night/nurse appts
No regular GP’s
GP’s appointments are not flexible for people who work and you don’t always get appointments and there are not enough regular doctors to see. See locums mainly who are good but don’t know your medical history and over look factors.
